30-Foot Gondola

The 30-foot gondola is a direct variation on the flat car. The only thing that needed to be added were the side boards and some angle brackets at the corners. There are also grabirons up the sides.

One small difference is the number of stake pockets on the gondola versus the flat car. The corner pockets were removed on the gondola to allow for the grabiron placement.

Another variation I have seen is the inclusion of a top board on the 'B' end of the car for stiffness, I sup- pose.
