The ore bin is a Campbell wood model. This is the first wood model I built. It is pretty complicated but was a lot of fun to do. They supply the lumber and a good set of plans and instructions, but you are required to cut everything.
The prototype for the model is located along the RGS route south of Placerville, CO, near Sawpit. It is difficult to see as it is south of the highway, nestled in the trees. It was used to load uranium ore in the 1940s and 1950s
